BEHIND THE SCENE
This image of an iceberg shaped as a heart is the picture I love the most in my collection. I took it during my first trip to Antarctica in 1997. On a personal level it is the most symbolic picture I’ve ever taken. That trip totally changed my life. I went from being an expert in finance and accounting to becoming a passionate conservation photographer. I always felt I left a piece of my heart during that very first trip to Antarctica. Ever since, I’ve been back almost every year. Year after year, I’ve been documenting the changes and impact of climate change in such a delicate and important ecosystem.
