10.24 DIGITAL EVENT NIKON KEYNOTE SPEAKER

A series of talks in Switzerland allowed me to present my latest multimedia presentation, "WILD VOICES: From the Arctic to Antarctica, Giving a Voice to the Voiceless." This tour was also a wonderful opportunity to return to my beloved Swiss mountains.

A heartfelt thank you to Nikon for inviting me as the keynote speaker at the digitalEVENT in Baden, Switzerland. It was an honor to share my experiences and connect with such an inspiring audience!

10.21 NIKON MAGAZINE

I am thrilled to be part of a special
Nikon Magazine issue
“The Best Advice – what you can learn from world class photographers” by author Frank Arnold

From the magazine intro: “Top photographers like Daisy Gilardini, David Yarrow, Delphine Diallo, Joel Marklund, Kadir von Lohuizen, Kristian Schuller, Marie Bärsch, Marsel van Oosten, Matthias Hangst, Robert Bösch or Tali Pelosi fascinate us because they capture magical moments in a unique way - from enchanting landscapes, to a dreamlike animal world, to the elementary events of human life. Their special view of the world, their will to perfection, their passion and perseverance, as well as their courage and entrepreneurship are fascinating and exemplary - in the truest sense of the word. It is as interesting as it is useful to deal with the authentic experiences and insights of real experts."

05.21 NEW BIG 5 - POLAR BEARS

I am delighted that people around the world have voted for polar bears to be one of the NewBig 5 of wildlife photography, not only because they are my favourite animals but most importantly because they need to be protected.

Polar bears are a keystone species. They keep the fragile Arctic ecosystem in balance and help other species survive.
They are at the top of their food chain, but they have one predator of their own: humans. Armed with guns.
Every year, anywhere from 3-4% of the estimated population of 26,000 — the equivalent of 800 to 1,000 individuals bears — are killed by humans.
This has to stop!
